Jesus is God (2)

Have you ever had a conversation with someone who just couldn't grasp that Jesus was and is God. They believe He is a teacher, a prophet or just a good man. Well as followers of Christ we believe that He is God. After one of these conversations I decided to just search the scriptures for myself. This is just the surface of me looking at scriptures from the Old Testament and comparing them with passages in the New Testament. I believe that Jesus is God completely and I believe that He proves it by what is said about Him and what He says about Himself.
In Isaiah 42:5 - God says that He is the creator of the heavens well in Colossians 2:16 Christ is said to be the creator of the things in the heavens and on the earth. Well we can't have two creators of the same thing can we?
In Isaiah 42:8 - God says His name is LORD which means YAHWEH, well in John 8:58 Jesus says that "before Abraham was born, I am". When He says I am that is referring to the name that Moses was told by God to use when he went before Pharaoh in Exodus 3:14. Now we can't have two separate beings that claim to be the I AM or YAHWEH, can we?
In Isaiah 43:3 - God says that He is the Holy One Israel well in Mark 1:24 the demons says that Jesus is the Holy One of God.
Lastly in John 10:30 - Jesus says, "I and the Father are one". How can they be one unless they are one in the same.

Well where do I begin to brag on the good Father I have in God. Those closest to me know that 2015 has been a year of suffering and blessings. I've learned this year more than ever before that God is good and He will never leave me. A Woman Worth Following

This is the last portion on the lesson of a Woman worth following. I pray as you disciple women and look for women to model your lives after that we take a close look at the attributes of these women. Read Luke 23:55-24:12 I just love that they are referred to as the women, the committed the few the fearless. It’s like the commercials for the Marines, the few the proud. Luke makes sure we realize that these are the women from Galilee. It states that they saw where He was laid and then went to prepare the burial spices and perfumes. They were so committed to Jesus. Note that they prepared well so that they could still rest on the Sabbath, they  weren't  so religiously focused that they  didn't  rest. Rather they obeyed the commandment which Jesus I’m sure modeled for them in His frequent times of getting away and resting. Why Jesus is God

In a conversation this morning with 2 Jehovah witnesses I used this example to explain why Jesus is God. "Imagine you are a boss and you have employees. When you want something done correctly you show them. You become the example for them to follow. A human phrase is "if you want something done right do it yourself". That's what God did, he had used Adam, patriarchs, priests and prophets yet His people still couldn't keep His law. Then He sent Himself in the form of man to be the example" Her response was she has never seen a boss do the job himself he just hires someone else. She is so brainwashed that common sense is lost. Then we went on to look at the passage she came armed with today.  You see this was our second encounter. I urged her to come back to talk with me.  So we looked at Philippians 2:5-9. She stated that form meant heavenly being which the passage gives no reason to believe that. I then showed her the original term in the Hebrew-Greek study
