A Woman Worth Following

Last weekend I had the pleasure of teaching at the Downline Summit. Words can't express how the Lord blessed me through that weekend. It was great to meet new friends while seeing old friends and being encouraged by the words of others while encouraging others with my words. One message that truly blessed my heart was the workshop I did. The Lord spoke to me so much through the study of this message, that I wanted to share it with others. Over the next few weeks I will be posting parts of the workshop. I pray it blesses your heart as it blessed mine.
We follow women who have had a tangible experience with God. They have been saved by the grace of God and they know it. They have experienced the comfort of God in their afflictions. They have seen the Lord keep His promise while they waited on Him. We follow women who follow the Lord. This weekend I want to answer the question that many of us may have, “What is my example to model after”? Is it your mother, grandmother, pastor’s wife, older family member, etc..  As people we imitate those who inspire us, because we see something in them that we desire to see in ourselves. Sometimes that could be a strong faith, a resilient spirit, a desire to know the Lord more, a prayerful life, etc… The most important decision all of the ladies have in common is that they believed the words from the Lord and they aligned their lives with it. Have you made that decision yet, have you believed that salvation is freely granted to you because of the life, death and resurrection of God in the flesh also known as Jesus Christ the Messiah? To prepare for the study of the first woman I would recommend that you read John 4:7-42. While reading try to answer 3 questions: What made her follow Christ, What was admirable about her life, and What made others follow her.

Well where do I begin to brag on the good Father I have in God. Those closest to me know that 2015 has been a year of suffering and blessings. I've learned this year more than ever before that God is good and He will never leave me. A Woman Worth Following

This is the last portion on the lesson of a Woman worth following. I pray as you disciple women and look for women to model your lives after that we take a close look at the attributes of these women. Read Luke 23:55-24:12 I just love that they are referred to as the women, the committed the few the fearless. It’s like the commercials for the Marines, the few the proud. Luke makes sure we realize that these are the women from Galilee. It states that they saw where He was laid and then went to prepare the burial spices and perfumes. They were so committed to Jesus. Note that they prepared well so that they could still rest on the Sabbath, they  weren't  so religiously focused that they  didn't  rest. Rather they obeyed the commandment which Jesus I’m sure modeled for them in His frequent times of getting away and resting. Why Jesus is God

In a conversation this morning with 2 Jehovah witnesses I used this example to explain why Jesus is God. "Imagine you are a boss and you have employees. When you want something done correctly you show them. You become the example for them to follow. A human phrase is "if you want something done right do it yourself". That's what God did, he had used Adam, patriarchs, priests and prophets yet His people still couldn't keep His law. Then He sent Himself in the form of man to be the example" Her response was she has never seen a boss do the job himself he just hires someone else. She is so brainwashed that common sense is lost. Then we went on to look at the passage she came armed with today.  You see this was our second encounter. I urged her to come back to talk with me.  So we looked at Philippians 2:5-9. She stated that form meant heavenly being which the passage gives no reason to believe that. I then showed her the original term in the Hebrew-Greek study
